State Labour Inspectorate’s Management visits EkoNiva’s enterprise
Press-centre / News,
Aleksandr Borodikhin, Deputy Head of State Labour Inspectorate for Voronezh oblast, has paid a preventive visit to EkoNivaAgro, a Voronezh subdivision of EkoNiva Group, where he took a close look at a machinery repair shop at one of the enterprises.
Aleksandr shared his experience in carrying out inspections on production sites and gave a few recommendations on organising work processes in a safe manner. Later, a meeting was held with managers and labour protection service specialists of the enterprise and EkoNiva Group’s managing company, where the parties discussed current changes in legislation and the practice of applying new regulatory documents in the work.
This visit was arranged by EkoNiva within the initiative on developing safety culture and labour protection management system being one of the preparation stages for a scheduled inspection at agricultural enterprises conducted by the Labour Inspectorate. This meeting format proved to be productive and enabled labour protection specialists and department managers to raise their awareness concerning labour protection issues and feel confident about the upcoming supervisory events.
A number of meetings are scheduled to be held soon between the Labour Inspectorate’s and EkoNiva’s managers of different levels, with each of the parties being interested in cooperation and promotion of safety issues within the team.
‘During the moratorium on inspections, the Labour Inspectorate’s functions are not limited to pure supervision, but the authority aims at creating a favourable environment to aid in the prevention of production-related injuries. We strongly support employers which take proactive measures in order to raise safety awareness in their companies’, sums up Aleksandr Borodikhin, Deputy Head of State Labour Inspectorate for Voronezh oblast.
