Press-centre / News,
On 16 October 2023, the National Mercantile Exchange (NAMEX), part of Moscow Exchange Group, held the first commodity auctions for milk and dairy products organised by EkoNiva Group.
Following the first trades, 720 tonnes of raw whole cow milk was sold on terms of shipping within 30 days in equal batches of 24 tonnes per day, as well as 100 tonnes of butter with a fat content of 82.5%.
EkoNiva Group’s short-term blueprint is to keep offering its raw milk, 82.5% butter and 1.5% skimmed milk powder for bidding. Trading in these commodities at NAMEX will be held every Monday and Thursday. The dates and volumes of the company's exchange sales are available on its website at https://ekoniva-apk.ru/exchange-trading .
Nikita Zakharov, Director of NAMEX JSC:
‘The auctions have given the market a competitive price for fresh milk and butter, which are new to the stock exchange, and drummed up the interest in exchange trading from new customers.’
Stefan Dürr, President of EkoNiva Group:
‘We are pleased with the first results of the exchange auctions, especially in the raw milk category, the key one for the company. Plans are afoot to continue working with exchange trades and make it the main instrument for selling raw milk on a monthly basis.’
