EkoNiva keeps developing its own feeding software
Press-centre / News,
EkoNiva Group, the largest milk producing holding in Russia, has integrated the in-house designed feeding software Eko.Feed with 1C accounting system on 10 farms in Kaluga oblast. Previously, this integration was available only on the farms in Voronezh oblast.
Eko.Feed is a sophisticated IT solution designed by EkoNiva’s specialists to automate and control the cow feeding process. The herd at the Group’s forty dairy facilities totals over 220,000 head of cattle with half of them being dairy cows. Eko.Feed provides the maximum transparency of the final production cost and improves feeding process consistency minimising human errors and thus ensuring high milk quality. The first version was launched in 2018 and now it is employed at all EkoNiva’s farm operations.
Based on the ration recipe balanced by nutritionists, Eko.Feed calculates accurate amounts of ingredients to be mixed considering the group size. Thus, in-house designed software enables to stick to one standard for the feeding process and distribute the feed accurately mixed according to the recipe, which guarantees a consistently high quality of raw milk and increase in the yields. In the first 6 months of 2022, the average yield across yields exceeded 29 kg per a dairy cow across all EkoNiva farms versus 28.3 kg over the same period in the previous year.
The Eko.Feed and 1C accounting system integration started early in 2022. This solution improves interaction between production and economist teams and enables the analytical service and other divisions to receive more accurate data, track the process efficiency, deviations from production rates etc.
By the end of 2022, the company is integrating Eko.Feed with 1С accounting system in the rest of the regions with operating dairy facilities – in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Orenburg and Ryazan oblasts, in the first place.
