Green light to EkoNiva Group initiatives

On 14 May, Aleksandr Gusev, Governor of Voronezh oblast, Viktor Logvinov, Deputy Chairman of Voronezh oblast Government, and Stefan Duerr, EkoNiva Group President, held a working meeting.
Stefan Duerr reported on stable financial position of EkoNiva Group. The average daily yield per cow has increased by over 40 per cent, the total revenue – by 50 per cent. Stefan Duerr invited the top officials to visit the new cheese plant, which has recently been commissioned in Shchuchye village, Liski district. The investment project is estimated at 1 billion rubles.
EkoNiva Group President expressed particular gratitude to the Governor for implementing the regional programme to support the processing of products made for export. EkoNiva Group has been supplying its produce to China for a while now. Currently, it is in the process of negotiations with prospective accounts on exporting its produce to the UAE and the CIS countries.
‘We are committed to developing regional processing industry and entering foreign markets with our products’, comments Aleksandr Gusev. ‘By selling high added-value goods, local companies make a significant contribution to the economy of Voronezh oblast. Therefore, the regional government will continue to support them.’
In the course of the meeting, the participants also discussed the Comprehensive Development of Rural Areas programme. According to Stefan Duerr, EkoNiva Group built 66 houses for its employees located in the countryside last year. Besides, the Group President told the Governor about the implementation of the coronavirus vaccination programme for the company’s staff and said that he had already been vaccinated.
